As a healthcare professional, it is essential to understand how to appropriately search, evaluate, and apply the literature to a clinical question. We seek evidence when something occurs out of the ordinary during clinical practice, outcomes are different in patients without reason, or a policy needs to be developed or improved.
There are various ways to conduct research, including quantitative, qualitative, or mixed methods, which is using both approaches in a single study. After completing the reading, you will need to use the online college library (LIRN) to find one peer-reviewed research article (within 5 years) that used quantitative research methodology, and one (within 5 years) that employed qualitative methodology on any clinical topic of your choosing. Please attach your articles to your discussion board thread for review and analysis. The link to the LIRN and code are located on the course homepage.

Your initial discussion board thread is to be 250-300 words including two APA references. References are to be from peer-reviewed journals and not older than 5 years.
