After you have finished watching all of the videos, reflect on your feelings about being stereotyped by addressing the following questions:
- How did they make you, as an American, feel?
- Have you ever been stereotyped before? Explain your answer.
- Even though some of the stereotypes were not offensive, did they make you feel awkward?
- Two of the Canadians showed concern that Americans do not know a whole lot about Canadian culture and the Canadian government. How would learning about Canadian culture and government help our understanding of the American government? You may want to consider trade agreements we have with Canada.
- From having been stereotyped, what lessons can be applied when it comes to evaluating people from other cultures.
