When it comes to implementing a new system such as a remote work system for staff. There are various issues and concerns of remote work. The issues and concerns consist of constraint, organization, technology issues, maintaining interaction, and productivity. The solutions for improving remote work is the security policy, guidelines, using a separate network for remote works such as Always On VPN, using business communication platforms such as Slack, RingCentral, or similar platform that allows workers to reach out to remote workers. One strategy is the initiation phase involving the communication of all individual views analysis of the remote work system, keeping risks in view, and creating common ground. To do so, the first step is determining business needs and stakeholder identification to develop the project scope, charter, and business case. Without careful planning, documentation, and stakeholder identification would lead to triple constraints, confusion, oversights, and misalignments in the later processes of the system implementation. Also, it’s important to analyze situations such as risk management, change management, possible constraints, quality, and factors. Then the evaluation of the business case to ensure project deliverables, operation and impact go smoothly beyond system implementation.

Implementing a new IT system/ software in my belief ultimately works for the better of a workforce/ company/ business. However, yes some transitioning or adaptation would be required for a business in order to make a new IT implementation worthwhile. I believe the Metaverse for instance will change the game in our everyday reality, and especially in the modern workforce. Work meetings will eventually be conducted in the Metaverse for instance, one will have their own avatars and virtual offices.
A general strategy that should be incorporated towards a new IT system implementation would include:
Planning ahead – prioritizing a plan in order to identify which processes and teams will be affected by the implementation. Creating a shared timeline gradual timeline for proper execution would also be ideal. At this stage one should attempt and question every possible business matter that may get affected by the new IT system. One should also question:
- Is the implementation going to be done in stages or all at once?
- How long will it last?
- Will it require new security measures?
- Who is going to deliver training for the members of your team?
