Discuss the concepts in this chapter as they relate to the Bachelor/Bachelorette Franchise. Consider the cultural implications of the Bachelor/ette in other countries, such as Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the UK. For example, in developing nations, what percentage of the population has television, cell phones, and the Internet? Does this genre of reality TV represent the tastes of citizens throughout a whole country? Consider whether popular culture is universal.  Are there any differences in this franchise from one country to another? What are those differences?
