The goal of this assignment is to have you experiment with a stress reduction technique that is new to you, and then analyze how it worked or didn’t work for you as you practice it several times over the course of a week. Choose one stress reduction technique that you have NOT previously practiced. Practice it for a week, at least 3 or 4 times. Write an analysis paper that includes:

  • A brief description of the technique and brief summary of research about its potential effects. What does the technique aim to accomplish?
  • Describe your experience with this practice. What did it accomplish for you? What challenged you as you experimented with this technique? How did you experience its perceived benefits? How did the perceived benefits change as you practiced it the third and fourth times? 
  • Theorize about how you might use the stress reduction practice you chose to help enhance your learning, both in college, and in your daily life.
