  • Argues a thesis about the characters, events, or ideas in any of the readings assigned this week. If you’re having trouble coming up with an idea, read the discussion questions in the Author PowerPoint for this week and answer one of them for your prompt. The Author PowerPoint can be found attached to the list of this week’s readings.
  • Is about 250 words minimum excluding quotations and citations.
  • Follows APA style in its use of in-text citations and a References entry at the bottom of the post.
  • Includes two properly integrated and cited direct quotations to support your claims. 
By 11:59 p.m. Sunday of Week 2, respond to two peers in about 125 words. Compare and contrast your peers’ responses to the literature with your own. What did you learn from your peers’ posts? Be specific. What are the most convincing parts of your classmates’ posts? Why? 
Your initial post is worth up to 50 points, and your responses to your peers are worth up 25 points each. The total assignment value is 100 points.
