Application of Psychological Theory to Event

1. Select two different psychology modalities. Consider the following psychology modalities (theories/school of thoughts): 
• Developmental 
• Biological 
• Social 
• Humanistic 
• Cognitive 
• Behavioral
2. Summarize the basic elements of your 2 chosen psychology modalities. Summarize each modality by responding to the following:
• Describe the three main points of each modality. 
• What does this theory stance say about human behavior? 
3. Select one psychology modality from your two previously chosen modalities. 
4. Apply your chosen modality to your event from Part 1: Defining Life Changing Event by responding to the following: 
• Describe and support how the event (action, thoughts, and words) relate to your modality. 
• Describe and support what you believed was the psychological catalyst for your paradigm shift in light of your chosen modality. 
5. Describe and support any potential changes that may have been influenced by your chosen psychological modality. Address the following:
• The outcome of the event 
• All parties involved 
• Do you believe that the people involved would have another response to the event if you had reacted differently? 
6. Analyze your identified preconceived notions or biases from Part 1: Defining Life Changing Event against your chosen modality. 
• Explain how, if any, of your preconceived notions or biases changed. 
• Assumptions 
• Feelings 
• Religious or moral codes 
7. Describe how a Christian worldview/ altruistic behavior could be applied to the event.
• Describe and support how, in hindsight, your initial response to the situation might have changed.
• Describe and support how your reactive response to the situation might have changed. 
• Explain and support, what difference would you have had in the outcome of the event.
