Argument against assisted suicide

My Thesis: Assisted suicide in a majority of cases has immoral implications as it raises a situation where doctors have to go against the Hippocratic Oath, insurance companies could incentivize this kind of death to save money, and the normalization of suicide could have a damaging effect on society.

Some General Conceptual Notes I Took: There has been a long standing debate about whether assisted suicide is moral or not. Many believe it is a right and even a privilege for patients who are facing some kind of imminent death or unfavorable fate. Through the act of the euthanasia these patients can avoid facing a great deal of pain, and in some cases what the patient may feel to be a loss of dignity. Though I believe these benefits to be of some kind of value, I do not believe most forms of assisted suicide to be moral. To be more specific I believe any patient has the right to refuse any kind of treatment even if it is life saving, or life prolonging. However, the act of assisting a patient in suicide presents moral problems. It directly contradicts the hippocratic oath which upholds a physicians responsibility to keep their patients alive. It can also create incentives for insurance companies to lose lives for savings. On top of all of that it could have a damaging effect on the populous by creating a legal occupation out of taking life.

More arguments can be added, but if so it must be reflected in the thesis. The paper must adhere to the topic of the thesis statement at all times. So, adjust the thesis statement if needed.
