The goals of this assignment are:

- to persuade the audience to acceptor at least seriously consideryour point of view;
- to formulate a clear, engaging thesis concerning an issue presented in on the texts from course;
- to write a well-organized and developed essay, including smooth transitions between paragraphs;
- to keep track of sources efficiently and credit sources accurately; and
- to demonstrate your potential to conduct high-quality scholarly research.
2. Write the argument research paper. Select one of the following two approaches for this:
APPROACH 1-Take a position on the problematic and significant issue. Present the issue to your intended audience, take a position, and develop a convincing, well-reasoned argument about that position (for example, Big Techs unchecked market dominance and social and political power endangers our democracy).
APPROACH 2-Propose a solution to a problem. Present a problem and propose a convincing, well-reasoned solution to the problem, keeping in mind your intended audience (for example, antitrust legislation restraining Big Techs monopolistic practices must be enacted immediately in order to protect U.S. National security).
