Paragraph 1: Introduction

Hook = an engaging opening sentence that DOES NOT STATE THE THESIS, DOES NOT TAKE A POSITION; this sentence simply attracts the readers attention.
One sentence that states the topic of the paper
One sentence that explains why the topic of the paper is important and thus worthy of written argumentation. (Here you could have two sentences, but they can’t give away or reference the thesis of the paper; they should be objective.)
One sentence that acknowledges there is more than one opinion or perspective regarding the subject; this sentence recognizes that there’s an opposing view to your…
Thesis statement; a single sentence that makes a debatable assertion and takes a clear stance or position on the topic of the paper.
Paragraph 2: Opposition

Topic sentence that states specific idea of the paragraph and also uses language to indicate that idea is in opposition to the thesis; for example, Opponents of globalization argue that it is slowly eroding traditional cuisines. (This would be for a positive impact thesis.)

Paragraph 3: Rebuttal (this is perhaps the most difficult paragraph of the paper; the idea developed here must directly relate to and disclaim or dispute the idea of the previous opposition paragraph.)

Paragraph 4: Support One

Topic sentence that states first reason the thesis is valid; this sentence should repeat or rephrase the subject of paper, the thesis assertion (positive or negative impact on ways of eating) and the specific idea to be developed in the paragraph; idea = reason thesis is valid.

Paragraph 6: Conclusion

Topic sentences THAT DOES NOT INTRODUCE A NEW IDEA; rather, it begins with a transition of conclusion and simply reiterates the thesis of the paper.
One or two sentences that summarize the 4 topic sentences of the paper; here you are concisely summarizing the sub-arguments made in the paper.
One sentence that makes a statement of benefit (heed my thesis and all will be good) or a statement of warning (don’t heed my thesis and all will be bad.) These parentheticals are of course a simplification; this sentence will require some crafty writing. Two examples for the internet:
Warning: If we continue with our past crimes against these creatures we will be remembered as cruel and inhumane by the generations of the future.

Benefit: Continuing to offer the current level of benefits to student athletes makes it possible for as many people to benefit from and enjoy college sports as possible.
