Ballroom Dance program (5pts)
You have been supervising a Ballroom Dance program for 5 years. This program came about as a result of a needs assessment, it was determined that a large number of retirees in the community as well as young adults expressed an interest in a dance program to meet new people, learn the moves performed on popular TV programs (i.e., Dancing with Stars, talent shows, etc.), and have fun.
As a result, this program is aimed at giving individuals or couples an opportunity to spend time together one evening per week learning the art of ballroom dance. The program consists of a weekly potluck meal with piano entertainment followed by an instructional ballroom dance program where the instructor attempts to organize fun and exciting (ballroom) dance activities.
The program seems to receive very positive evaluations every year, but despite this, enrollment has gradually decreased each of the 5 years (year 1; 80 couples, last year; 48 couples). Your supervisor has told you that due to the expense involved in this program and the decrease in enrollment, it must be dropped.
