Business Plan – Law Firm

Be sure to state your assumptions throughout the business plan. 

Remember to include a cover sheet and/or title page, table of contents, confidentiality statement (may also include web page/address, logo, etc.), and reference section.

(Whether LLC, Sub S Corporation, sole proprietorship, etc. and your reasoning for same) – I would like it to be a professional corporation

C. Practice Areas 

(List an area, or multiple areas, of the law that you plan to cover, and your reasoning for same) – I would like to use Tenant Rights Law

D. Operations 

(Location, staffing, technology, and your reasoning for same) 

E. General Strategy for Success 

(What makes your firm different/unique/attractive to clients?) 

III. Prospective Clients A. Competitive Analysis 

(Use and cite valid, reliable resources) 

B. Market Strategy 

(What is your implementation plan?) 

IV. Financial Plan and Projections 

This should be a general description no spreadsheets or financial statements are needed 

Describe projected revenues from whatever your fee structure may be (such as use of evergreen retainers, flat fees, certain hourly rates, discounts, unbundling, etc.) 

Describe three other sources of funds that you intend to seek in addition to fee revenues 

Reference all material to which you refer or on which you specifically rely in your project.
