Information for questions 4 and 5: In 2015, the DuPont company was combined with Dow Chemicals to form the holding company: DowDuPont Inc.
Dow Chemical was founded by Herbert Dow in 1897 and it was also a family business.
In April, 2019 DowDuPont completed a dissolution to create 3 independent companies: Dow (materials solution provider), Dupont (Specialty products), and Corteva (Agriculture). In the terms of the agreement, shareholders of DowDupont received shares in Dow and the company was renamed as only Dupont.
E. I. du Pont is the only member of the duPont family who serves in the board of directors for Dupont. He is president of the Longwood Foundation (a philanthropy founded by P. S. du Pont in 1947). Furthermore, the du Pont family does not own more than 5% of the current stocks in the company. In addition, there is no member of the Dow family serving in the board of directors.
