Throughout the course, you will analyze the steps in the project management processthe desired outcomes, goals, and objectives. For the assignments, select a project that has been completed by a public or nonprofit agency. Make sure you select a completed project rather than one that is currently in progress. Examples of projects may be infrastructure improvements, construction of new buildings, renovations of existing buildings, investment in voter or other technology, or investments in cybersecurity. Since public projects tend to be large in scale and can last many years, it is acceptable to use a historical project as long as you are able to research the details surrounding the project.
For this assignment, focus on the desired outcomes of the project. Desired outcomes typically involve rhetoric around public good and public use. For example, the outcome of a highway building project might be to increase citizen mobility, contribute to overall citizen welfare, and allow for economic growth.
Introduce the agency and the project, and identify the desired outcomes of the project. Evaluate how these desired outcomes of the project align with the activities normally undertaken by the public or nonprofit agency.
