The objective of this assignment is to create a graphite drawing that accurately depicts a collage. This collage will be one that you have created using your own photographic images. https://youtu.be/dmfaeX2OTtc.
Materials
Bristol paper, glue stick, graphite pencils, erasers, pencil sharpener, scissors, X-acto blades
Research
To begin, collect as many image sources as you can. These can be magazines, newspapers, old books, or printed photos that you have taken. Please keep in mind that these should be photographic images and not illustrations.
Instructions
The first step is to sort through your resources and cut out the images that interest you. Play around with different combinations and arrangements. Choose at least three different images to merge into a single composition. Consider a theme, narrative, or possibly a question to portray.
Once you have made your collage, work carefully to transfer the collage onto a piece of Bristol paper using your graphite pencils.
