Please complete the following steps for your discussion post and response.

You are a manager of a coding team with the local hospital.  You have five employees – the coding lead, two full-time coders and two part-time coders.  You are preparing to offer one of the part-time coders a promotion to full-time.  What you are not aware of is that the two part-time coders are very close friends and roommates.  You offer the promotion to one and it is accepted, but you then notice over the next few weeks that the remaining part-time coder is sullen and rude to everyone, and that their output has decreased below the department standard.

As the manager, how would you handle this situation?  Be specific as to how you would approach the part-time coder and what you would discuss with them.
