CAPSTONE (35 Points)

Contemporary Social Policy Paper (25 Points) & Presentation: Students are asked to write a 8-10 page paper analysis of a contemporary social issue. Papers should be written in APA format. This paper will give students the opportunity to examine how events unfold over a period of time and to critically analyze how the convergence of political, economic and social factors influence the development of social policy. ALL Papers Due- 12/14/21 (NO EXCEPTIONS- late papers will NOT be accepted) This paper will be submitted via Turnitin on Blackboard.

Using the social issue you selected from the book Nobody social problem paper and using scholarly sources (at least 5) write a paper which critically analyzes the data collected in terms of the political, social, and economic factors and how those factors shape the development (or lack thereof) of a social policy response to the problem. Paper should include:

Introduction/ Historical background of the problem (support with literature)
Significance of the Problem (political, economic, and social factors associated with the problem)
Review of the Literature- Use literature to explain the significance of the problem. What do we know based on the research about this problem? (use at least 5 scholarly sources)
Policy Analysis (revised paper Nobody)
Recommendations/ Implications for social welfare policy
Conclusion

Presentation (10 Points)- DUE 12/5 ALL presentations are to be submitted online via Blackboard Presentations (randomly selected 12/7 & 9)
