In this course, you will design an original Curriculum Unit to meet an identified need and improve student performance at your assigned school or district site. The Curriculum Unit will include standards based-learning goals and objectives, learning experiences, and strategies to engage a diverse student population.
Before beginning the design of the Unit, you will submit a 3-5 page Topic Paper that identifies the subject (topic) you have selected for this Curriculum Unit, provides a rationale for the Curriculum Unit based on data, and demonstrates alignment of the Curriculum Unit with state and national standards.
The Topic Paper must include a minimum of 5 peer reviewed sources (current, 2013-2018) and must follow APA guidelines as appropriate.
