For this assignment, you will research a cyber-attack event where the victim did not properly respond to the attack in either a responsible or ethical manner. For instance, did they try to hide the fact that they were attacked? Did they manipulate the facts in order to make the attack appear less serious than it was? Did they fail to follow the most basic steps to defend their systems from a cyber-attack, for example not changing default passwords or disabling default accounts?
Please write a two- to three-page paper, in APA format, which describes the details of the attack including the ramifications of that attack. In addition to that, please describe how the organization, in your opinion, incorrectly acknowledged the attack and to what degree their poor response made the situation worse.
