Summative Evaluative Report (Component 1) CASE STUDY Fitzpatricks is a large chain of supermarkets and is one of the largest five supermarkets operating throughout the UK. The brand prides itself on the ability to attract good staff and keep them motivated as they appreciate a good level of employee satisfaction is essential to maintaining their performance. You are required to analyse the data provided and complete the following tasks to identify in relation to this organisation; Task 1: Analyse the summary employee data extracted on 1st December 2021 for stores based in the Yorkshire region to produce a report of the key HRM metrics. Key HRM metrics to calculate: Turnover rates Contract types (PT/FT/Zero Hours) Variation in Employee Satisfaction Ratings Gender ratios Key questions to consider: What is the proportion of different contract types by store? Is any type of contract strongly correlated to employee satisfaction? Does the turnover of staff impact on employee satisfaction? What is the correlation between FT contracts and turnover rates? Create a scatter plot of turnover and employee satisfaction then create a least squares regression line to explore these two sets of data. Can you predict what the turnover of staff would be for a store with an employee satisfaction score of 70? Task 2: Analyse the breakdown of employee data for the store with the lowest employee satisfaction (Brompton) to produce further analysis impacting performance. Conduct a wide research on the HR metrics and expand your reading.
Using appropriate data analysis methods, analyse the employee data in the context of the allocated case study to calculate key HRM metrics in response to key questions. Develop a report that presents the data clearly to illustrates the findings and provides clear explanations.
