POST 1:
Not being lsitened to or understood, is a daily struggle, now more than ever. I feel like everywhere we go people are distracted by something, whether it is their phone, personal problems or even work issues. People might have a conversations with one another and not even pay attention to what is being said.

If I had colleted a dollar for all of the  times that I have seen people in a restaurant on their phones while they have company, I would probably be very close to being a millionare! It is both shocking and sad to think that people would go to a restaurant together just to sit on their phones for the entire night.

I recently visit family and we went out to a restaurant. There was a family of four sitting at the table next to us. Both parents and the boy were on their phones not paying attention to the little girl at all. The girl kept trying to make a conversation with someone, but all three of them were so intreged with their cellphones. How alone must she not have felt that night!

People live in their own world. Society has become so technology based and people don’t know how to have proper conversations anymore. They are so focused on their cellphones and social media and what other people think of them and not paying attention to what is important and what is going on around them. People should start paying attention to those who matter most to them and start listening to others and engaging in conversations. Maybe the world will then become a better place.

POST 2:

The pain of not being listened and understand can have a big impact in our life. But it also leaves us with lessons in which we can learn on how to treat and listen to others. I  have experienced both, not being listened, and not listening to someone. When I was in a meeting they were asking for ou point of view or opinion on a subject. I hesitated to talk but finally decided  I wanted my ideas to come out, I wanted to be listened. The moment I started talking I notice others were not even paying attention. Others were just on their phones, some even giggling. I started feeling feeling horrible, but kept speaking trying to be listened and understood. After seeing that it was not going to be possible to be heard I just stop and made up my mind to learn from that experience. Memories came to me from times when I had not listen to others, specially children when they were so interested in telling me their feelings. This experience I lived taught ,me to be different and that it is better to listen than to talk. It even feels better listening and being engaged when others are opening, than to just talk and try to be understood.
