Discussion WEEK 4
This week’s topic will discuss Thomas Midgley and his invention of leaded gasoline. While this discovery was considered revolutionary at the time (it raised the octane level of gas), lead was a known toxin, yet it still had widespread use throughout the United States until being banned years later. Midgley was actually known for quite a few inventions, though none that are looked upon fondly today.
