Part 1
For part one, you willsubmit, via dropbox, a 4-5 page research paper on a disorder of pregnancy orpost-partum. You must pick a disorder from the provided list. Following APAguidelines, your paper must discuss the pathophysiology of the disorder, therisk factors associated with the development of the disorder, side effects ofthe disorder on the mother, baby or both if applicable, treatment, and theoutcomes to the mother/baby, both if treated and untreated. Your informationwill come from current evidence (within the last 5 years is ideal) such asyour textbook, clinical practice guidelines, scholarly journals, andprofessional association websites (ie: Canadian Pediatric Society, Society ofObstetricians of Gynecologists of Canada, etc). This paper must have a titlepage and reference page.
Part 2
For Part 2 of thisassignment, you are to design a visual handout or patient referenceregarding your chosen disorder. This is your chance to be creative. You maydesign a single-page poster, webpage, pamphlet, etc. Included on this handoutis information that you want your patient to know if they were told that theyor their baby had developed this disorder. Remember to use simple language (asnon-medical as possible). The information you include in this handout shouldbe the same information youve learned and described in your research paper;information on your handout should be appropriately referenced. This is alsoto be submitted via Dropbox for grading. You can include the handout as partof your paper. If you choose to design a webpage, please ensure that youinclude the website address so that I can visit the website to review it.
