i want my personal statement to be reviewed, edited and proofread

The courses that I have taken on mathematics since my childhood inspired me to pursue Finance and Economics. It gave me the pleasure to deal with numbers and solve complex problems. In my opinion, math provides us with a way to understand patterns, quantify relationships, and predict the future. It helps us understand the world and we use the world to understand math. For example, Algebra can explain how quickly water becomes contaminated and how many people in a third-world country drinking that water might become sick every year. A study of geometry can explain the science behind architecture throughout the world. These are the underlying principles of finance and economics. I have a basic concept to connect the theories used in mathematics with those world issues, a critical skill every future finance professional should acquire.

Moreover, I have a family who works in this industry; seeing their work has inspired me to follow the same career path as I also have a broad interest in the subject. My father used to work in the banking industry in my childhood and taught me the importance of his profession. As for him, the fundamentals of finance are the analysis of financial data, an essential knowledge that I have yet to learn at the university to fuel my appreciation for this field of study. A university education would broaden my social and intellectual horizons significantly to prepare me for my future career.

Throughout my life, I have been a great fan of reading books. As I grew up and developed my knowledge, my father bought me several books about economics, the role of money in society, and how to control it using human intelligence. One of my favourites was The Wealth of Nations by a Scottish writer, economist, and philosopher Adam Smith. After reading the book, I realized how quickly one country could develop where people can access free trading with foreign countries. However, the government often tries to mess with free trade by banning foreign products or taxing them, after which they become super expensive. In most developing countries, government interference is becoming a commonplace problem where people still suffer from increased costs of products. Therefore, by studying Finance and Economics more profoundly at one of the most prestigious universities in the world, I want to contribute to minimizing the government role in some aspects.

The most important skills that future managers need in their career are communication, critical thinking, creativity and collaboration. I did my best to advance these skills by volunteering, working, and attending a number of different projects. For example, last summer, I was offered an English-tutoring job by a newly-opened local learning centre. My duty was to teach 7-9-year-old children the basic English Grammar rules throughout a month. I also gained cooperation skills by meeting peer colleagues and learned how to engage with my students during classes and find reliable study materials. Overall, I developed into a more confident, hard-working, and experienced tutor within a month. Not only did I learn from others, but I also helped those around me. Furthermore, I attended the Global Education Conference and gave my speech telling the difference between the education system in developed countries, like the USA, Great Britain and Japan and compared it with one in Uzbekistan (my country). Consequently, I met several people during my life experience, and most of them are my friends now.

In my free time, I enjoy doing sports. Every morning I run for about a kilometre while listening to music, which relaxes me. I am a part of the 2UZG1 football team at the lyceum, where I play as a striker. I like to score goals. In the last championship at the school, we won the Cup and were the only team in lyceum history to score 35 goals in 8 games. Of course, there was also my contribution to this victory. In addition, I am so passionate about travelling. I have travelled to all the cities in my country so far, and I dream of going to foreign countries and exploring different cities there.

I am committed, motivated and ready for hard work and further study. I hope you will consider me as a candidate for a course at your university
