  1. In the movie, Miss Daisy demonstrates both Identity Assimilation and Identity Accommodation. Please (1) define both of these concepts and (2) provide an example from the movie (e.g., a scene) to demonstrate your understanding of this concept. (1) Please define the technical term for this aging physical change term for “up here” and “down here” and (2) how this presents in Boolie across the timeline of the movie: Beginning, Middle, and End.
  3. Hoke, Miss Daisy’s Chauffer, experiences changes in his ability to see. (1) What is this change in visual abilities called and what is the cause? (2) How do you know that Hoke is experiencing visual changes in the movie? For example, Miss Daisy says to Hoke, “You ought not to be driving knowing how you see.” (3) Why would Miss Daisy think that he is not seeing well (Hint: what type of corrective lens is he wearing? and why?)
