How did the musicians in "Rumble" transform their music in some of the same ways Ritchie Valens might have created "La Bamba"? How do our cultures impact the ways in which musical genres evolve? How did the blending of Native and Black musical influences provide examples of how Chicano/Latino music may have evolved? Why is this an important aspect to study when learning about Chicano/Latino music? Also, feel free to include any part of the Johnny Cash/Tigres del Norte videos from Friday if you like. What did you learn from this film/these films?
