While River Forks Clinic is successfully transitioning to the new system, some questions have come up regarding revenue cycle management. First, the clinic hopes that the new system will contribute to a more efficient revenue cycle. Second, depending on the payment model adapted by the clinic (value-based purchasing, pay-for-performance, etc.) certain sets of data will need to be reported. The administration is not sure on how the system will support any of these models when it comes to data collection and reporting. Also, since the clinic joined the local Accountable Care Organization (ACO) more questions have come up about population health, specifically regarding measuring and monitoring quality and data sharing with other organizations within the ACO.
