Chapter 1 of the text includes a lengthy discussion of the Responsibilities of Human Resource Departments (pp. 5 to 14).

Think about your own experience as an employee. Based on that experience, identify at least two issues discussed in this section of the chapter with which you have had involvement. For example, what was your experience with respect to the organization’s efforts to recruit you? Or were you involved as an employee with an HR administered a performance management system? Or were you involved with an HR related activity designed to support the organization’s strategy?

In an essay of at least 500 words: 

Describe the organization in which you work(ed) (You do not have to provide the name);
Describe in concrete terms the two situations that relate to the material in this section of the text; and, 
Explain how the organization addressed each situation.
In addition:

When writing your submission you must relate your response to relevant concepts related to the lesson’s readings. You are free to supplement the course readings with sources from the web; however, you are not permitted to use Wikipedia as a source.
You will be graded to the degree you do so in a logical, coherent, substantive manner.
You must use appropriate APA guidelines when documenting those references.
