Read the primary text “Hills Like White Elephants.” Then, re-read it. 

In your own words, write a one- to two-page introduction (250-500 words) of this short story to your readers: pretend that your readers are highly intelligent but know absolutely nothing of your subject, not even the title and author.

      2. Identify and describe a core theme of the story. 
      3. Explain Hemingway’s Iceberg Theory (do a little research on the internet).
      4. Include one quote from your primary text that helps illustrate your ideas. Be sure to cite this quotate with an MLA in-text citation.
      5. Your introduction must include an MLA bibliography with your primary text source and all the required information.
      6. Your introduction must be in MLA format: MS Word, double spaced, Times New Roman font 12.
      7. Except for the quote, use your own words, otherwise, it is plagiarism.
