Chapter 2 "Traits, Behaviors, and Relationships" pages 35-63 in your textbook covered the concept of how successful leaders possessed certain traits and characteristics that enabled them to become effective leaders. As you begin your own personal developmental journey on Leadership this semester we will begin by taking an inventory of what key traits and characteristics you currently possess. In addition, what additional traits and characteristics do you believe could help transform you into becoming a more effective leader.
Your Assignment:
Write your weekly paper based upon your Leadership Traits. Use "bolded headings" as listed below for each item you address in your paper.
- Identify personal traits and characteristics associated with effective leaders and why? (Effective Leader Traits)
- Identify those traits and characteristics you believe you possess and why? (My Current Leader Traits)
- List what additional traits and characteristics from the Effective Leader Traits you believe could help you become an even better leader and why? (Desired Leader Traits)
- Explain how those traits could help transform you into that more effective leader. ( Enhanced Leader Trait Impact )
Formatting instructions:
Papers are to be well written with a logical flow of thought and carefully proofread for spelling/grammatical errors. Papers should be a minimum of one page, double-spaced, 12-point, Times New Roman font and 1-inch margins all the way around. Include on each page the title of the assignment at the top of the page, the due date, and your name. Use bolded headings to respond to each of the steps of the assignment. All assignments must be submitted through Blackboard, no exceptions.
