Over the course of the semester you will be completing a program evaluation for an organization in our community. As the need for evaluation in our community changes, so too will the organizations and program data, therefore, the instructions here are generic. More information will be provided to you on the organization and types of data we have to work with. Please take some time to look up the organization and familiarize yourself with the organization. YOU CAN CHOOSE ANY AGENCY however make sure you are able to obtain the information needed for this assignment. From there, you will create a logic model for the program and organization you will be evaluating. In this assignment you will need to complete theincluding resources, activities, outputs, outcomes, and impact. Take some time to really consider aspects of each area.
The logic model should be as complete as possible and demonstrate that you have spent sufficient time brainstorming and thinking about aspects of the program (drawing from our readings and other programs you may also have worked with) to develop a robust model. Using the readings and course material, fill in the areas of the logic model and then write a narrative, no more than 2 page double-spaced, 12-point Times New Roman font, describing in detail your logic model. The written narrative should be complete so that the reader does not have to have the logic model in front of them to understand the items in the model and how they flow. Similarly, the logic model should also be able to stand on its own and not require a written narrative to understand what is written.
In your written narrative, you will have a brief introduction to the agency or organization as well as the specific program you will be evaluating. Much of this information may come from a website, be sure to appropriately cite your information. Additionally, you will want to begin drawing from empirical literature (not required now but will be for the final evaluation) for the program or type of agency used in the evaluation.
As stated above, in addition to the introduction to the agency and program, you will also describe in detailed narrative form, your logic model.
