Scenario
Envision playing on a team coached by an individual who held Machiavelli’s belief that “the end justifies the means”. Answer the following questions through the lens of the stakeholder:
- What kind of behavior do you believe the coach would expect from you (the player) and your teammates?
- Would the team members have a moral obligation to question the tactics advocated by the coach?
- As the athletic director or principal, how would you deal with this Machiavellian coach, who has won five state championships in the last seven years?
Provide evidence from this week’s resources to support your response. You can also research additional academic articles available through the University Library to use as supporting evidence.
