TOPIC: Langston Hughes
We’ve studied Modernism (1910-1945) in relation to American Literature.
Based on the time period (1910-1945) and what the style of Modernism represents, how does real American history and the writer’s experiences motivate what they’re writing about in their literature?
Essentially, you’ll want to research and analyze the literature that they wrote (one or more pieces) and the time period/history/experiences surrounding them. You’ll need to understand and write about both equally in this research paper.
Your answer to the topic question will more than likely become the thesis and focus of this paper.
