1. Design
Based upon your investigation and the interpretation of data, you and your team should provide a design for a device to solve the problem identified associating with minimizing the force on a macroscopic object during a collision. As you work through your design it will be important to construct a model that shows the relationships among variables and also to predict and describe what is and will happen. You and your team will need to design, build, test your product to maximize performance by prioritizing criteria, making trade-offs while testing, re-testing, and revising as needed your solution. Continue the design cycle until you are satisfied with your solution and its ability to provide a valuable product to the problem. Your product should be presented as project design and presentation.
2. Presentation
You and your team will need to provide an informative and persuasive 35-minute, oral presentation using multimedia to your audience. The audience will need to be convinced that they should move forward with your findings and potentially fund the development of your solution to the problem. The presentation should provide an overview of the work you have completed and the reasoning for the work. You will need to construct a scientific explanation based on the reliable evidence you have obtained from the research you have done.
