Step 1

For this project, you are going to work on editing and revising your submission for Essay #3: Policy Position Paper.  Take a look at the feedback and corrections for this essay and reread your work to determine any other necessary revisions or edits to make. You need to revise the content, structure, and mechanics on the essay to create a new final version to submit to me.  Your efforts can score a total of 75 points here, and your score will depend on the thoroughness of your work.  Obviously, the higher your original score, the less work you probably have here.  Feel free to make any revisions and corrections that you see fit that I did not point out.

Step 2

Create a bullet point list below your essay of the changes that you made to improve your essay. You efforts here can score a total of 25 points.

Step 3

Below your revised essay for Step 1 (so part of the same document), you need to type (in paragraph format) a response to the following questions.  Each question should comprise its own paragraph, and you should make sure to reference specific examples for each:

• What have you done well in the English 101 essays, now that you have taken a second crack at two essays?
• How have you specifically improved your writing through revising your essays?
• What will you need to work on to improve in college writing in the future?

This part of the Final Project is worth 50 points and will be graded for its content, structure, and mechanics.
