Directions: Podcasts are available on pretty much any phone. They are audio shows similar to a radio program, but you can listen to them at any time. Listen to the podcast ACT V from the podcast series This American Life. The podcast focuses on a variety of topics, but this particular episode focuses on a group of maximum security inmates and how their experiences with the play Hamlet. After listening to the podcast you will focus on writing a 400 word or more response. Your response will be assessed according to the rubric on google classroom. 

Prompt: How does the inmates’ experiences with the play Hamlet, demonstrate or exemplify the theme that “theatre holds a mirror up to reality to reveal truth.”?

The podcast is composed of three parts. The Prologue which is the introduction, Act 1 and Act 2. It is important that you listen to the prologue and Act 1 in their entirety. I encourage you to listen to the entire podcast as it is quite entertaining.

  5. Demonstrates an understanding of the theme
