For this assignment, you will write an 8- page research paper on evidence-based psychotherapy treatment of children and adolescents with psychiatric disorders. APA style format throughout
Instructions
- Read Chapters 16 and 17 of Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health and Chapters 31.18a and 31.18b of Kaplan & Sadock’s Synopsis of Psychiatry.
- Research current studies on evidence-based treatment of children and/or adolescents with psychiatric disorders. The National University Library is a great resource.
- Write an 8-page paper that addresses the following:
o Outcome evidence of psychotherapy in the treatment of psychiatric disorders in
children and adolescents
o The strengths and weaknesses of studies found during your research
o How the findings and recommendations of the studies could contribute to evidence-based mental health practice
o The challenges and deficiencies in current research relating to a psychotherapeutic and alternative treatment in children and adolescents with psychiatric disorders, including ethical issues associated with the studies
