So, analyze anEmergency Department data and other resources to identify areas where the careand services provided are not up to state or national comparisons. Conduct thisanalysis, using the Emergency Department HCAHPS Data (attached) and otherresources in the Learning Resources (attached). You will also addresshow you would improve the substandard performance indicators.

The attached chaptersof our course textbook will provide and guide your analysis. Kotters (1995,1996; as cited in Joshi et al., 2019) modelfor change is a realistic framework for managing qualityimprovements. The eight steps of Kotters theory include 1) unfreezing the oldculture; 2) forming a powerful guiding coalition; 3) developing a vision andstrategy; 4) communicating a vision and strategy; 5) empowering employees toact on the vision and strategy; 6) generating short-term wins; 7) consolidatinggains and producing more change; and 8) refreezing new approaches in theculture.
