Radiology Technician

Growing up in a typical Filipino household. They want what’s best for you especially choosing the right career. It’s known for a stereotype Filipina to become a nurse. Although being in a medical field has always been my dreams but never a nurse. It was one time, I was in a hospital with my dad. I had real bad stomach issues and the doctor wanted me to get a CT scan. The techs had brought me into this huge machine that was so cool. I was so interested into how the machine worked. I was so stunned how technology can be used to find parts of the body. After going through friends and mentors, I’ve heard Newman was a great school for the medical field. And from then, I always wanted to become a radiology tech. After getting some experience in the medical field as a nurse aide at a rehab hospital, I noticed I enjoyed working with patients one on one. I thought about wanting to switch over to become a physical therapist but I never wanted to give up my love for radiology. After doing some research, I discovered radiation therapist. Once I get enough experience as a radiology tech, I would more likely become a radiation therapist.
