Your work must be based on the Vincor and the New World of Wine case study, which has been made available alongside the examination brief.

You can create and include diagrams and tables as part of the 6 pages (any text within them should use font size 12, font type Times New Roman). Any footnotes should use font size 9. Appendices are included in the page limit.
Read the attached case, entitled Vincor and the New World of Wine. As Vincor CEO Donald Triggs, write a 6-page recommendation to the companys Board explaining what Vincors next move should be and why. Explain how you would implement your proposed strategy over the next 3 years and what outcomes it would help achieve, particularly in terms of growth, profitability, and strategic position. Your recommendations should be realistic and quantified to an extent youd deem appropriate, given the context and data at hand.
You should not be using any information or data outside the case document attached. This would represent a waste of the time you have to complete this exam, wouldnt help you complete it, and could in fact lead to penalties, as any information sourced from outside the case, even referenced, will not be taken into account by the graders (and if unreferenced, such outside information could be considered a breach of academic integrity and lead to heavy sanctions).

The quality of your strategic analysis of Vincors external environment [15 marks]
The quality of your strategic analysis of Vincors internal resources and capabilities [15 marks]
Your ability to support your arguments with quantified analyses based on case data [15 marks]
Your ability to make realistic assumptions about what you do not know, so you can proceed with your analyses and recommendations [10 marks]
Your comparative consideration of (at least) 2 strategic options, followed by a compelling justification of why youre opting to recommend one over the other [15 marks]
Your ability to describe concisely a set of actionable steps to implement your proposed recommendation over the next 3 years [20 marks]
You should feel free to structure your paper as you please as long as you cover the above areas and devote sufficient space to each (based, roughly, on their proportional importance in the marking scheme).
Your paper should be submitted as a Word document but you should feel free to create tables and/or diagrams using other software, as long as you properly integrate them inside the Word document before submitting and maintain the font guidelines. Please do not shrink Tables and Diagrams containing text in Font 12 after pasting them in the Word document, as this would represent a breach of the guideline regarding the use of Font 12 throughout (the only exception being footnotes, which can be in Font 9).
