- The original mission/purpose of the agency/commission.
- A history of the agency: When and why was it established? Were there political or social situations at the time the agency was founded which caused it to be established? Who was the president at the time the agency/commission began? Has the mission/purpose of the agency changed since its establishment?
- Who is the constituency of the agency/commission (i.e. the interest groups or client groups either directly regulated by the agency or affected by its decisions). Does the agency/commission affect the daily lives of everyday Americans? If so, how?
II. Your Opinion
- Based on your research, do you feel that the agency has too much power or should have less power? Substantiate your opinion.
