The purpose of this assignment is to investigate and report on a topic of interest related to reading or writing instruction using at least 5 sources of information (3 articles/scholarly sources and 2 interviews and/or observations).
Part 1: You will use the following sections to organize your paper:

- What I know – Explain your previous knowledge (including opinions) on the topic and include your rationale for undertaking this study.
- What I want to know – Explain your questions on the topic and the information you hope to acquire. If your questions evolve during the study, explain that evolution in this section.
- What I did – Describe the 3 articles/scholarly sources and 2 interviews and/or observations or critiques of materials.
- What I discovered – Compile a synthesis of 2 or 3 key issues across your sources which address your questions and previously held opinions.
- References – List a minimum of 5 references using APA style.
Each section of your paper will be assessed, and an overall assessment will take into account professional language and writing as well as the use of APA in the references section.
Part 2: Once you have completed your paper, video record a presentation (between 10-15 minutes) and post in the discussion board in D2L no more than one week after submitting your paper. It is very important that you name the post your primary research question, so that your colleagues can choose presentations that interest them. (You will receive anonymous ratings and feed back to your presentation.)
