For this assignment, you are being asked to write a piece of short fiction (a short story). The storyline, characters, setting, etc. are up to you and your imagination. Consider the aspects of craft discussed in the modules as you work.
Your story should stand on its own and feel like a complete story with a beginning, middle, and end. No novel excerpts, please. You should be generating new and original work created and developed this term. For additional info about your submission including guidelines around acceptable content and non-acceptable content, please go back and review your syllabus carefully. If you’re still unsure whether what you’d like to write about is within our acceptable content standards, please check in with your TA Team prior to writing and submitting your work.
Your submission should be 1,600 to 1,650 words (1,700 MAX). Please double-space your work and use 12-point Times New Roman font. You should not be going significantly under or over this word count--please note your word count on your submission. As well, please number the pages in your document.
