This weeks discussion involves going down a rabbit hole of your own and evaluating this theory’s ability to explain and predict your learning.Well start the theoretical exploration this term with a look at a fresh new theory in learning. George Siemanss connectivism has emerged as an option to explain and predict the learning of the modern person. This week, we will attempt to apply this theory and engage in a scholarly critique.
Connectivism and the Rabbit Hole
Its time to go down the rabbit hole. Try to learn something that was presented in the Week 1 discussion, either your own idea for learning or something interesting your classmate wanted to learn. Starting with your initial investigation, document your path through learning this new thing. Where did you end up? Then, consider what you read about connectivism. Can connectivism ideas explain your rabbit-hole learning? What other types of learning could it help to explain and what kinds of learning would it not be able to explain?

Next, try out this theory with a case study or two from Learning Theories: Case Studies. Could you come up with hypotheses about the things these people have learned so far using only this theory? How did it explain things well (strengths) and in what ways were you unable to explain learning with this theory (limitations)?
