Ways of Knowing
After watching the TED talk Different Ways of Knowing, think about how you as a nurse may have different ways of knowing and perceiving situations about the care of others.
Discuss if your way of knowing is because of your education, the culture of nursing, or other influences.
Discuss if your ways of knowing adhere knowledge development in nursing and which type: emancipatory, ethical, personal, aesthetic and empiric.
Is knowledge development different than other health disciplines and other nurses who you work with.
