Activity 7: Are You Ready to Wrap This Up?

Welcome to the final activity for the prospectus!

Finish drafting the prospectus draft! Your prospectus should be taking shape and looking good! Remember to complete the title page, draft the introduction appearing at the top of page 1, verify the completeness of your PRISMA flowchart appearing in Appendix A, and ensure a complete and APA 7 formatted reference list!

Perform a Rubric Check. Use the rubric to verify whether the draft of the prospectus contains all the required elements.

Perform the APA Check. Use the APA 7 Checklist to ensure the formatting of the entire prospectus. Remember to check each item in the list and provide Editing, Changes, and Revision Notes within the APA 7 Checklist.

Are You Sure? Review the prospectus and ensure:

• you have drafted all segments;

• nothing is missing;

• and your writing is clear and easy to read!

Prepare! Take a moment to reflect and focus on the moments, during this examination, which challenged you. The moments may be anything—perhaps there were moments while you struggled with literature. Perhaps you vividly recall moments where you finally got the problem statement you wanted. No matter the moments, take a little time and focus on them to re-embody the experience of the moments.

Step 1: Got your moments? Do you feel them? Good! Now—using those moments, write down at least five thoughts entering your mind. After writing them all down, take each thought and turn it into a question.

Step 2: Now you have a bunch of questions, right? Well, let us organize them! Sort them by whether they are open-ended or close-ended (Links to an external site.) questions and create one list of open-ended questions and another list containing only close-ended questions.

Step 3: Sort the lists and choose the top open-ended question and top close-ended question.

Post and share! Share your top questions along with a brief discussion of why they are important to you and your dissertation. Also, reflect on the above three steps and ask yourself—what did the three steps help me realize?
