You are to type a one and one half page paper over what you learned in Mr. I’s class during the first week. Please do not give me the notes you took in class. I really want you to write about how the I’isms have helped you Re-Discover the Significance and Value of Communication. This assignment will not be graded however I will review your work and provide comments. The paper will utilize standard margins (when you open Microsoft Word to create a document, it automatically provides you with standard borders). The typed paper will be formatted utilizing 1 1/2 spaces, 12 font, Times Roman or Arial font and must be spell checked. I suggest you read it aloud to yourself to catch any errors and feel free to utilize the Writing Center for help. They are located on the second floor of the Library.In addition please bring a hard copy of your stapled paper to class. All assignments and work are turned in on time at the beginning of every class. Below the 10 I-isms are listed.

1. Mr. I. is not your Teacher…he is your Coach
2. Mr. I. does everything for a reason…it’s your job to figure out what he’s doing and why.
3. Mr. I. does not ASSUME… when you do it makes an ASS out of U and ME
4. Mr. I. can’t make you happy or sad…..only you can do that.
5. Mr. I.’s job is to assist you being successful….not just in this course… but life
6. Mr. I says that to be and Effective Communicator…you must genuinely display these skills…they are Compassion, Empathy, Humility and Respect
7. Mr. I says that if you don’t learn anything in his class….he wants you to become Aware ( Present)
8. Mr. I likes to peel the onion (ask questions)….get to the core of the issue….then develop consensus
9. Mr. I says the key to Public Speaking is understanding the concept of POWER
10. Have you been told it is not about you?…..This class is all about you
