Part 1: Annotated Bibliography Directions:
- Select three peer reviewed research articles on the subtopic you are investigating within your group research topic.
- Create an Annotated Bibliography reference for these articles
- Start each annotation with the full reference citation for the article (author-last name and initials, year of publication, title of article, source/journal, page numbers) See example provided below:
Silverman, M., Robert. (2012). Making waves or treading water? An analysis of charter schools in New York State. Urban Education, 48(2), 257-288.
Silverman provides countless statistical comparisons of Charter and Public schools in New York with analysis and additional sources. He examines the sustainability of Charter schools as an agent for educational reform in New York. The paragraph I found most interesting is an analysis on whether Charter schools are an equitable option regardless of race or class.
This article is the most helpful of my sources it cites an array of supplementary articles and documentaries on the subject of Charter schools. It made me consider narrowing my thesis further to reflect the effect of Charter schools on equitable education.
