It’s time for your debut speech of the semester! Follow the guidelines below in order to successfully prepare your speech. Please submit your outline, which may be relatively informal at this point in the semester. You will upload a file under “Week 2.” (DO NOT submit your outline here; this is where I will post your AOB speech grades.)
Speech Guidelines:
Choose, and fill, a bag with three items that represent you. The bag itself should be significant, and must be explained as either PART OF YOUR INTRODUCTION OR CONCLUSION. You are to briefly explain all three items, giving us, your audience, insight as to why you selected each of the three, and how they are significant to your life. Be as creative as you like. Just remember, the speech need not be longer than two minutes; you’ll only know how long your speech will run if you practice it MANY times. You may only have THREE items plus your bag. Tell us your name. We want to get to know you! You may use an index card to help guide your thoughts and words. Please don’t read directly from your notes; SPEAK to the camera.
Record, then upload your speech as a file.
