CASE STUDY OVERVIEW
- View videos and complete anecdotal observations as soon as possible.
Due 10-26-21
- Anecdotal observations should be completed by observing only (1) ONE student in each video. The students included in the case study must be in GR. 1 thru 12.
- Take notes as you observe and complete anecdotal observations as soon as possible after the observation. Include the title and the URL of the video on the anecdotal observation.
- Use anecdotal observation template when writing observations.
- Each anecdotal observation should follow the template format, be typed on a separate page, and inserted as an appendix to the paper after the reference page. There should be 6 anecdotal observations in the appendix.
- The anecdotal observations should include 6 separate observations. (2 observations for each theorist)
- The indicator/criteria (Refer to Rubric) regarding each theorist should incorporate at least two references to the anecdotal observations that are relevant to the child’s stage of development that correspond to the theories of Piaget, Vygotsky, and Erikson.
- Your paper should be written using APA style and should include: a cover page; an introductory paragraph; three body paragraphs relating to the theorists stages/concepts and analysis of student’s anecdotal observations; a summary paragraph; a reference page and an appendix consisting of 6 separate anecdotal observations.
PLEASE NOTE – PARAGRAPHS RELATING TO EACH OF THE THEORISTS SHOULD CONTAIN A BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE THEORISTS’ CONCEPTS AND OR THEORY. THE MAIN FOCUS FOR THE PARAGRAPHS RELATING TO EACH OF THE THEORISTS SHOULD CONTAIN AN EXPLANATION OF THE ANECDOTAL OBSERVATION (Noting # of observation) AND HOW IT ILLUSTRATES THE STAGE AND OR CONCEPT OF THE STUDENT WHO WAS OBSERVED. All observations should cover different aspects of the stage or concepts student are illustrating in the video.
- ALL REFERENCES LISTED ON THE REFERENCE PAGE MUST BE CITED IN THE PAPER. The paper should include references related to each of the theorists and also references for each of the videos included in the anecdotal observations.
- Refer to the CASE STUDY topic in Moodle for all materials related to the case study.

- CASE STUDIES MUST BE SUBMITTED ON MOODLE THE DAY THEY ARE DUE 11/4/21. ALL PAPERS SHOULD BE TYPED IN TIMES NEW ROMAN FONT/ 12 PT. AND DOUBLE SPACED.
